Lauren's Soccer Tourney

So Lauren's team played in a soccer tournament then end of September.  Once we checked in we realized that our team was the only team of first graders.  What does that mean???  It means we played second and third graders and got our tushes kicked!  The girls were so frustrated and some nearly in tears by the end of the second game.  The other frustrating part was the other teams played with goalies (which is not allowed) and when we called them on it, the coach said it's not a goalie it's a defender.  Really, because the last time I played soccer, and played goalie, we stood in front of the goal and blocked attempts on the goal... just like they were doing.  I think it made me so mad because these teams were CLEARLY winning and the coach knew our girls were a lot younger and still kept their "defender" in front of the goal.

I will say, the girls didn't give up... I was proud of them for hanging in there.
