Another year goes by..

I say this every year.. I just can't believe how fast the year goes by and how much they have changed.  Elise only has 2 more years left until middle school.... MIDDLE SCHOOL... ahhhhhhh.

I think she has changed the most of the two girls this year.. she has just grown up so much, but yet the sassy, drama tween like attitude is coming on in full force!  Lord, give me strength!

Lauren ~ 2nd Grade
Lauren had a great year.. she is working on growing her hair out. She wants to wear pony tails and braids!!

Horizon Skate Night!

Horizon Elementary School had a Skate Night at Skate North.  There were tons of kids, most of them falling every few feet.. I am shocked there were no broken bones.  By the end of the night these adorable elementary kids were sweaty and stinky.. it smelled like a locker room in there by the end of the night.

A Beautiful October Day...

Lauren's 2nd Grade class went on a field trip to Jester Park. It was a gorgeous day! They were catching water bugs, snails and everything in between.. this was a big yuck factor for me.. I tried to be brave but don't care for the slimy stuff.

This stations they were sweeping for bugs.. instead we picked up every bur possible and I spent the entire time picking burs off of the kids as they were complaining.

This station was a nature hike and they learned about "decomposers" and found all sorts of treasures.. centipedes, spiders, beetles, ants,crickets.. you name it.. at least they didn't find any snakes!

School Days have begun...

Well.. another year has begun and we all ask ourselves (as we do every year) "where did the summer go?"  Now that I am working full time, the days seem to fly by even faster and for the first time in a LONG time.. I feel like I have missed summer.  But.. the good news is that the girls didn't.  With Haley here for the summer, they were home every day, played with friends and had a fabulous summer!
