Last Day!!!

This was our last day in Florida.. home tomorrow (sniff sniff).  Everyone was beached out except the girls and I so we headed back out to Sanibel Island for a few hours.. I could have stayed ALL day. It was the picture perfect day.. not too hot, calm waters, hardly anyone at the beach.. it was amazing!

The girls made some friends on the beach.. turns out they are from Minnesota, the husband went to Iowa State and the wife went to IU!!  Small world!

They had rented a paddle board and took the girls out to the sandbar!

We went up to the Starbar for smoothies

We had an early celebration for Lauren's birthday!

Bonita Beach and Tin City ~ Day 5

We tried a new beach this year on our way down to Naples.. it was pretty windy and really busy.. wasn't our favorite but it was still a wonderful view.. until the annoying lady plopped her tent right in front of us.. I asked her to move it down so we could see the kids in the water.. (and the view of the gulf).. she acted all annoyed.. whatever.. common courtesy people.. common courtesy!!

Eric had enough sun for the week.. so he covered up.. literally!

This is our redneck cooler that Roger put together... we lost the lid to the cooler so he made his own lid with more Styrofoam and duct tape.. it was hilarious!!

After the beach we drove down to Naples to visit Tin City.. it's a place where Eric used to go when he was a kid.. just a bunch of touristy shops but fun to look around. Then we had dinner at the Riverwalk and it was RIGHT on the water, all open.. so much fun.  And of course we all had to take BIG bites of our burgers to carry on a photo tradition from Eric's childhood.  Oh and the mango daiquiris were to die for!!

I think we wore them out!!

Day 4- Florida

This was so funny.. there were a bunch of fisherman on the Pier and the Pelicans were watching and waiting for the fish to come up.. one of them swooped down and Lauren went over to see what it did and the other pelican turned on her... SKWAKED (is that a word??) super loud and snapped his beak at her as if to say.. back off little one.. Lauren screamed and jumped back.. we were all laughing soooo hard!

That night we took a bunch of the fish the boys caught and went to The Fish Mongers and they prepare it for you!!  It was so scrumptious!!

Boys Day Out ~ Day 3

While we were out shopping Eric, Roger and good friend Jay went deep sea fishing.. they go 40 miles out into the gulf!!
